Marian Ngo, President and Managing Partner, Vallar Partners
Marian is a problem-solver and strategic implementer who has successfully delivered major projects, programs, initiatives, and policies.
Her experiences include:
- Being part of the core team that negotiated the first-ever Indigenous-issued environmental certificate (Squamish Nation)
- Developing and presenting a plan that created the electric drive rate for LNG in collaboration with the provincial government.
- Supporting the path forward regarding the taxation hurdles of Fabricated Industrial Steel Components (FISC).
- Co-establishing the Salish Sea Indigenous Guardians Association (SSIGA), an Indigenous-led organization focused on data-driven solutions for meaningful participation and informed decision-making by Nations regarding environmental assessments and policy.
- Developing a referral office for a Lower Mainland municipality and establishing processes for delivering capital projects.
Marian has been recognized as one of Business in Vancouver’s 40 Under 40. She serves on the board of directors for Bard on the Beach and Women Leaders of Tomorrow (focusing on scholarship funding for Afghan girls), is a member of the International Women’s Forum, and mentors with Dress for Success.
Before working at LNG, she advised cabinet ministers and department staff in various federal Ministries in Ottawa.
