Canadian Railway Hall of Fame

2023 Call for Nominations
Railways are a backbone of Canada’s economy and play a vital role in connecting our communities despite vast distances and diverse geography. Each year, Canada’s railways – both freight and passenger – move Canada forward, getting $350 billion worth of goods and millions of passengers where they need to be safely and reliably.

The Canadian Railway Hall of Fame celebrates the hardworking men and women who, together, work 24/7/365 to deliver for Canada and Canadians. The Hall of Fame is a Railway Association of Canada (RAC) initiative to recognize those who have built Canada’s railways into the safe, efficient, sustainable, and reliable supply chain partners they are today.

Our virtual gallery features more than 100 inductees, including:

  • railroaders who served their employer and their country with distinction
  • individuals who pioneered technological advances to improve safety and productivity, and
  • communities that support freight and passenger train movements from coast to coast.
Nominations are now open for the Hall of Fame’s 2023 inductees. You can nominate someone deserving, whether historical or contemporary, here. This year’s inductees will be announced this fall.
