Kira Cailes, Director Safety, Risk & Compliance, Rocky Mountaineer
Kira Cailes brings over 25 years of experience in safety and risk management. She began her career in the ski industry, holding leadership roles in operations before moving into risk management. At Whistler Blackcomb, Kira served on the Senior Leadership Team, overseeing guest and employee safety, incident investigations, and compliance with numerous regulatory bodies.
Today, Kira is the Director of Safety, Risk & Compliance at Rocky Mountaineer, where she leads the Safety & Security programs, contract management, enterprise risk management, compliance, and emergency preparedness. When she’s not working, you’ll find her in the mountains—ski touring, biking, or hiking with her dogs.
