Dr. Quentin Chiotti, Principal, QPC Consulting
Dr. Quentin Chiotti is an independent consultant with over 30 years of experience in the field of environmental risk and has a long track record of collaborative research, engagement, implementation and action. Through his extensive education, experience and employment history, Dr. Chiotti is considered as a thought leader and subject matter expert on climate risk and resiliency. His climate change impacts and vulnerability expertise in the fields of agriculture, energy, public health, watershed management, transportation/transit, and public infrastructure has been sought out by many as he is able to translate difficult science and policy issues into practical actions with measurable outcomes.
He has considerable experience in transit and rail infrastructure assets and services, having been in the role as Senior Advisor, Sustainability and SME in Climate Risk and Resilience for Metrolinx from 2015-2021. Since then he has led or contributed to climate risk assessments on rail networks in Australia, and new subway projects in Canada.
Dr. Chiotti is a graduate of York University (BA), Queen’s University (MA), and Western University (Ph. D), and was recently granted Adjunct Professor status at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus where he teaches a 4th year undergraduate course on climate risk.
