Youth In Rail – Megan McLeod

Meet Megan McLeod, who interns for the Western Mechanical Division of CN Railway.

Megan is an electrical engineering student at the University of Alberta and plans to specialize in plasma and photonics in her final year.

Her career goal is to apply her knowledge as an electrical engineer in the field of energy and transportation. “I want to contribute to the emerging nuclear and hydrogen energy industries. Today’s youth will be responsible for the future of the human race, so we must be committed to our future. I believe this is possible by focusing on the betterment of society and the repair of the environment. I want to design and implement projects that achieve these goals and empower more girls to go into STEM,” says Megan.
