The following speaking notes were delivered during a presentation to the Québec Parliamentary committee holding consultations on a draft version of a Bill on Land planning. The RAC, acting in Québec under the name Réseau des chemins de fer du Québec (RCFQ), makes suggestions on how to ensure land planning in Québec factors in existing rail yards and corridors, and that a notice be given by mail to a railway of proposed subdivision, zoning or construction by-law, in specific situations.
