The main area of concern is the ever increasing proximity between railway operations and everyday life in communities across the country. Proximity issues should have been addressed in the Bill. Submission by the RAC on Bill S-4 The bill proposing amendments to the Railway Safety Act, Bill – C-33, was debated before the relevant House of Commons transportation committee, earlier in the year, but died on the House agenda when the Federal election was called.
